About Me
I am a fully qualified psychotherapist (BA Counselling and Psychotherapy) and accredited member of the Irish Association for Counsellors & Psychotherapists. I have trained in an integrative humanistic approach meaning I work from a flexible perspective, informed by what may be useful and helpful to the individual. These approaches include C.B.T, Psychodynamic and body oriented approaches to name a few.
I believe that the ability to heal is already within the individual and that with the help of a supportive and non-judgemental environment, the individual can access these resources. I also believe that the mind and body are closely connected and that often the body may communicate more about the state of mind than it is credited with.
Why Psychotherapy?
Psychotherapy is a relationship, between therapist and client, where past and current relationships, patterns and other issues can be safely explored. It is non-judgemental and confidential. The aim of Psychotherapy is to identify behaviours which may no longer be helpful to the client and to equip the client with new strategies which may serve them better in living a fuller, more authentic life.
Services
I offer a safe and confidential space, where I will listen and try to understand the experiences of the client. I will work in alliance with the client to explore the thoughts and feelings that are expressed in the space and seek to discover new ways to function and thrive in the world when past behaviours cease to work.
